Meet —DJ Makai

Makai the DJ was born and raised in the Bay Area, Oakland and San Francisco.   He lived in various places including Milwaukee Wisconsin, Orlando Florida, Daly City, Fresno, and currently resides in Long Beach.Makai was always the guy on the dance floor.  From an early age, he used to record music off the radio on cassette tapes. Makai would also make his own tapes of all his favorite songs from CD’s he bought.  He was responsible for the music at family gatherings, which got everyone dancing.  Before he was officially a DJ, Makai took the initiative to get a party started using YouTube videos in multiple browser windows.Makai started DJing weddings in 2014 in Fresno. He began DJing weddings in Long Beach in 2018. Since then, he has DJ'd over 400 weddings, including a wedding that was featured on Netflix's Bake Squad.Makai is known for being a great M.C.and D.J. but also for teaching  line dances to large groups.
